The quaint mining Town of Tobin is located on Hwy 70 in the Feather River Canyon, across the Highway from the spectacular North Fork of the Feather River. The town is just an hour from Quincy, Oroville and Chico and two hours from Reno and Sacramento. This small municipality includes a Lodge with Tavern, an Eatery (community kitchen), a general store, a separate dorm that accommodates 6 bedrooms and 2 baths, eight cottages and two larger houses, an art gallery and two designated RV spaces. Gold mining brought the settlers to the Feather River Canyon when mining claim was established in the late 1800s.
